The Global Shrimp Council (GSC) is an independent international organization comprised of members from the shrimp industry. Established as a non-profit organization in Washington D. C., with support from the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) and the Global Shrimp Forum (GSF).
The GSC’s mission is to implement programs focused on advertising, promotion, information, and research to highlight the benefits of shrimp. These efforts aim to increase per capita consumption in selected territories around the world.
The GSC welcomes members from all origins and shrimp varieties—both wild-caught and farmed. Membership is open to shrimp producers, importers, feed suppliers and equipment providers.
Building on the momentum of its successful “Happy Protein Campaign” launch in the U.S. at the SENA Boston Seafood Show this past March, the Global Shrimp Council (GSC) has officially announced the roll out of the campaign into Europe. For more information clic here
We're thrilled to announce that after the launch of the Happy Protein Campaign in Boston, the Global Shrimp Council will also showcase its first campaign at Seafood Expo Global on 6-8 May in Barcelona with awesome on-site ads and the first influencer campaigns!
The three feed companies decided to join the GSC to show their support to the industry. As associate member they can use the Global Shrimp Council logo in all their communication and marketing materials as well as on the packaging of their shrimp feed.
In an effort to show leadership and motivate others to make major commitments as well, the three companies have decided to become diamond sponsors of GSCs 2025 campaign.
